Head Coach Jim Tressel Resigns from Ohio State

According to The Columbus Dispatch, Ohio State football head coach Jim Tressel has resigned. Assistant coach Luke Fickell, who was scheduled to coach the Buckeyes for the first five games of the season, will take over the remaining season as the interim head coach. 
This announcement came after a lengthy investigation, when six football players (including starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor) were caught for selling various awards in exchange for discounted tattoo services.
Tressel informed the NCAA that he had no knowledge that such dealings were going on, but a former OSU player alerted Tressel about the violations several months prior.
