Terrelle Pryor Leaves Ohio State

Terrelle Pryor has now become a former Ohio State quarterback. After deliberating over the issue, Pryor has decided to leave Ohio State and presumably enter the NFL’s Supplemental Draft. Doug Lesmerises of the Cleveland Plain Dealer broke the story.

Terrelle Pryor has ended his playing career at Ohio State, his lawyer, Larry James said this evening in a phone call with the Plain Dealer.

“In the best interest of my team, I have decided to forego my senior year of football at the Ohio State University,” James said, reading a statement on behalf of his client.

James said Pryor had been considering this option for several days and made the choice this evening, leaving James’ office in Columbus just before 6 p.m.

Since Jim Tressel’s resignation on May 30th, Pryor’s exit from the university has been expected by many Buckeye fans and administrators. With an ongoing NCAA investigation into his car history holding potential to damage the university, Ohio State officials may have…
