College Football: Is the Ohio State-Michigan Recruiting Border Open?

For the last nine years, Ohio State has been the place big name recruits from the state of Ohio have gone for the most part. Yeah, you’ve had players go elsewhere. Ohio State can’t sign every Ohio player. But for the most part, if the player was a blue chip recruit, Ohio State signed him.
And when guys went somewhere else, it normally wasn’t Michigan. Why? Because Jim Tressel was the Ohio State Buckeyes head coach, and he was the Wolverine killer. As long as Jim Tressel was at Ohio State, players felt like they wouldn’t be able to surpass the Buckeyes if they went to Michigan.
