Luke Roberts Commits and Becomes Buckeye #10 for 2012

Growing up in the backyard of Columbus, Ohio and watching the Buckeyes throughout the years certainly helped with the commitment of 2012 LB prospect Luke Roberts (Lancaster HS).  Roberts was offered a scholarship about two weeks ago after stellar performances at camps throughout the summer. He visited the campus this past Monday with his family, and he called up the Buckeye coaches on Wednesday to issue his pledge to become the tenth member of the 2012 recruiting class.    

Roberts had been picking up steam lately, receiving offers from other Big Ten schools like Purdue and Indiana, as well as Arizona and Cincinnati.  But, since he is from Central Ohio, the Buckeyes were always the school to beat.  He was shocked when he received his offer two weeks ago, and many thought it was only a matter of time until he became a Buckeye.  He joins Joshua Perry (Olentangy HS) as the second linebacker in this class.
