More – but not all – of the schedule

Once again, the Big Ten is Leading the way for other conferences with a blueprint for releasing a schedule that could become Legendary for its longevity.

First, Ohio State released its schedule of non-conference games in August. Opponents and dates only, no tipoff times or TV assignments save for the previously announced ACC-Big Ten Challenge matchup against Duke.

The rest of the schedule was to have been out a short time later. Good thing no one held dinner for it.

Most of the rest of the schedule was released this afternoon: 12 of the Buckeyes’ 18 games against Big Ten opponents, which will be televised by CBS, ESPN or ESPN2.

The other six? They’ll be announced Wednesday because they will be televised by Big Ten Network, which may wants its own day to promote the leftovers the other three channels didn’t want.
