Three Buckeyes players reinstated

The wait is over for the three Ohio State players suspended for taking cash at a charity event.

The NCAA announced on Tuesday afternoon that running back Jordan Hall and defensive backs Travis Howard and Corey Brown can be reinstated as soon as they repay the $200 they were given by a booster at an event in February. You can read the NCAA statement on the case here.

“The university appreciates the NCAA’s expeditious response in reinstating these three student athletes,” Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith said in a statement.

It didn’t seem all that expedient, given that only $200 was involved. Still, getting the three back — especially starters Hall and Howard — should help the Buckeyes going into this week’s game against Miami. We’ll have to wait and see if…
