The newest offer in the class of 2013 was given out to defensive tackle Maurice Hurst Jr. The defensive tackle is from Westwood, Massachusetts and plays at Xaverian Brothers High School. This past season was his junior season at the school. “Last season went pretty good”, said Hurst. “I really loved how coach got me involved in the offense.” Despite his enjoyment of being included in the offense, Hurst is being recruited solely as a defensive tackle. A defensive tackle rightfully so, as Hurst is 6-foot-2 and weighs 280 pounds. Hurst holds many offers such as Michigan State, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Ohio State, and Boston College. Hurst has already taken a couple visits, and has others in mind. “I have only been to Boston College, Connecticut, and Maryland so far. I plan on visiting Ohio State for the Spring Game, as well as Virginia, North Carolina, and Penn State this month.”
