Ohio State Football: WR Evan Spencer to Miss Spring Game

Ohio State sophomore wide receiver Evan Spencer will miss at least two weeks of practice with a small fracture in his shoulder, says Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch. Spencer was limited to just a few snaps throughout the 2011-12 season with numerous counterparts ahead of him in the depth chart. Still, he had three receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown, including an incredible one-handed catch in the first game against Akron. The 6’1″, 190-pound wideout is expected to fill a similar role this year, but could end up playing a bigger part in the Buckeyes’ new spread-option offense. Ohio State’s spring game is next Saturday, April 21 at 1:30 PM (ET). Follow this reporter on Twitter: @Tyler_Waddell Read more Ohio State Football news on BleacherReport.com
