Ohio State Football: Why Buckeyes Are Still Ideal Fit for Recruits

There’s no question the Ohio State Buckeyes have been rocked by a recent, unexpected scandal when a registered sex offender and a fan of the school was seen on campus and interacting with top recruits.
Already, several potential Buckeyes have changed their minds and it’s becoming a bad situation for Urban Meyer’s team and the program as a whole.
Despite all that, I don’t see any reason why Ohio State is being so maligned for what happened. I certainly don’t think it should change the overall stature of the program, let alone a storied team like the Buckeyes football team.
Here are some reasons why Ohio State football is still a top choice for recruits across the country.
 
Urban Meyer
Meyer is one of the best coaches in college football, if not the best. He’s won two national championships with the Florida Gators and it’s now off to a fresh, but clearly difficult start with his new team in Ohio.
