Ohio State Football: Buckeyes’ Post-Spring Depth Chart Released

Urban Meyer and the Ohio State coaching staff released the post-spring depth chart late this afternoon, according to Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch.
To no one’s surprise, Jordan Hall is the starting running back, Devin Smith is the starting “X” receiver, Nathan Williams will replace Adam Bellamy once healthy and C.J. Barnett once again beat out Orhian Johnson at strong safety.
The only thing worth a second glance is freshman receiver Michael Thomas backing up Smith at “X” instead of starting over Evan Spencer—who missed the spring game with a shoulder injury—at the “Z” position.
Hyped sophomore middle linebacker Curtis Grant did as expected by taking the starting role over senior Storm Klein, who held the position in 2011. Also, Doran Grant is listed as a co-starter with senior corner Travis Howard, who struggled last season.
Summer workouts are still a few months away, but this certified depth chart gives us an idea of how things will look heading into fall….
