Ohio State Football Recruiting: No. 1 Recruit in South Carolina Commits to Bucks

Pendleton (SC) defensive tackle Michael Hill of Pendleton High School has committed to Ohio State, reports Rivals’ Ryan Bartow:

The 6’2″, 315-pound tackle has the ability to play either inside or outside on the line, but he will likely serve as depth and possibly replace current starter Johnathan Hankins.

Hill is an extremely athletic player who has a nose for the ball. He’s an elite run-stopper with the potential to become an outstanding pass-rusher, especially with more work to what’s already a great first step.

As a junior, he recorded 81 tackles (25 TFL), six sacks and four forced fumbles.

Hill becomes the second prospect to give his verbal to the Buckeyes in as many days, and he is No. 14 in Urban Meyer’s recruiting class for 2013.
