1. Can Urban Meyer cook with Jim Tressel’s players?

History shows Meyer’s system works. He has won at Bowling Green, Utah and Florida with his high-scoring offense and lightning-quick defenses. At all three schools, his first-year record was an improvement over the previous year, suggesting this question isn’t a problem at all.

Except for some of the true freshmen, the players on this Ohio State roster were recruited for a different offensive system. So Meyer and offensive coordinator Tom Herman will be fitting players recruited for a Tressel/Jim Bollman offense into more wide-open, field stretching sets.
