Ohio State Football Recruiting: Should Buckeyes Offer 4-Star 2014 QB Kyle Allen?

4-Star 2014 quarterback Kyle Allen is planning on visiting the Ohio State Buckeyes as part of a trio of college visits this fall, but even though the quarterback is interested in them, should OSU be interested in him?
Ohio State has not yet made an offer to Allen, but according to Justin Hopkins of 247Sports he is on their radar.

His final trip will be to Ohio State on Oct. 6. The Buckeyes have not offered but have indicated he is one of the top options on their board.

Obviously this visit may be a defining moment in the thought processes of both parties involved, but let’s examine this from the Buckeyes’ perspective.  Should they really make an offer to this kid?  I’m leaning towards no.

To be very clear, it has nothing to do with Allen’s skills. He’s 6’1”, 185 pounds and is a strong pocket passer. I like his presence as a quarterback and I really like his arm, especially his accuracy. He’s going to be a good college quarterback, but I don’t see him being the Buckeyes’ guy.
