Ohio State Football: Nebraska Doesn’t Match Up Well vs. Braxton Miller

Nebraska’s run defense overall has been solid this season, but the Cornhuskers have struggled against dual-threat quarterbacks.

That figures to be a problem against Braxton Miller and No. 12 Ohio State.

It’s no secret the No. 21 Nebraska struggled against dual-threat quarterbacks Anthony Alford and Brett Hundley in the first two weeks of the season.

Southern Miss’ freshman rushed for 84 yards on 15 carries. UCLA’s freshman ran for 53 yards.

The Cornhuskers have allowed 3.6 yards per carry and three rushing touchdowns this season, but there’s no question you can make an impact against them if you have a quarterback who can run the pigskin.

Miller, of course, is unlike any dual-threat quarterback Nebraska has seen this season. The sophomore has rushed for 577 yards and seven touchdowns in just five games, averaging 7.7 yards per carry in the process.

He racked up 136 rushing yards against Michigan State’s vaunted defense in the Buckeyes’ 17-16 victory last week.
