Ohio State Football: Breaking Down Urban Meyer’s Blueprint for Success

Most college football analysts and experts knew that Ohio State would soon become a strong football program not long after they hired Urban Meyer less than a year ago.

Not many could have predicted that the Buckeyes would be two wins away from a perfect season heading into their bye week in a season where they weren’t eligible for the postseason.

That’s a full credit to the work Meyer has done.

Granted, he hasn’t exactly come into a program with a bare cupboard. There was quite a bit of talent on the Ohio State roster when Meyer arrived, though a good portion of it was underclassmen lacking a deep senior class.

What he has done in large part, outside of just making the OSU offense including super sophomore Braxton Miller one of the more potent units in the country, is renew the energy and spirit that seemed shattered by NCAA sanctions.
