Matta and the Bucks add two to class of 2013 – Ohio State (Rivals)

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeyes picked up two National Letters of Intent on Wednesday with the signings of forward Marc Loving and guard Kameron Williams for the class of 2013 on the first day of the early signing period.

Both players are rated as four-star prospects by Rivals.com but both came to Ohio State via very different ways with Loving committing to the Buckeyes 27 months ago while Williams gave his pledge shortly after his official visit less than two months ago.

Loving is listed at 6-foot-8 and in the neighborhood of 215 pounds and has grown a couple of inches since he committed to Matta back in 2010. He is from Toledo (Ohio) St. John’s high school and hopes to continue in the long line of successful Ohio State basketball players from the greater Toledo area, including Jim Jackson, Kelvin Ransey and most recently William Buford.

“We have followed Marc’s career closely for several years,” Ohio State head coach Thad Matta said in a university provided release. “He is a terrific young man and is a skilled basketball player. He fits in well with our program and has a bright future at Ohio State.”
