Gareon Conley Commits to Ohio State: What 4-Star CB Brings to Buckeyes’ Program

4-star cornerback and former Michigan commitment Gareon Conley has verbally committed to play football for Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Brad Bournival of ESPN Recruiting Nation reports on the Buckeyes’ latest commitment:
Commit No. 18 for Ohio State’s 2013 recruiting class came in a big way when ESPN 150 cornerback Gareon Conley (Massillon, Ohio/Washington) decided he wanted to join the Buckeyes.

Massillon coach Jason Hall confirmed the commitment.
Conley is an important commitment for Meyer and the Buckeyes for more than one reason, but one of those reasons is that they essentially stole his commitment away from Brady Hoke and the rival Michigan Wolverines.

Anytime you can steal a recruit away from your rival, that’s a great thing, so don’t underestimate how big of a commitment this is for Ohio State.
Conley is also a big win from a football standpoint, though.
He’s 6’1”, 172 pounds, so he has great height for a cornerback, and the size will come through…
