Ohio State Football: Top ’14 O-Lineman Commits to Meyer and the Buckeyes

Urban Meyer was so good this year that he received a Christmas present a whole year in advance.
Marcelys Jones—a 2014 offensive lineman out of Glenville High School in Cleveland—verbally committed to Meyer and Ohio State Christmas morning.

While Meyer is looking to put the finishing touches on this year’s group of incoming freshmen, Jones became the first commitment in Ohio State’s 2014 class.
Jones—a 6’5″, 325 pound junior lineman—is one of the top ’14 prospects in the country, ranked the No. 2 offensive guard and the No. 47 prospect overall by 247Composite. He could play either offensive guard or offensive tackle, but the staff has reportedly talked to him about the possibility of playing defensive tackle (via elevenwarriors.com).
