Ohio State Football Recruiting: Buckeyes Best Michigan for Big Ten’s Top Class

When all was said and done on national signing day, Urban Meyer and Ohio State surpassed Brady Hoke and Michigan for the Big Ten’s top recruiting class of 2013.
While the Buckeyes picked up “only” one 5-star recruit this year (safety Vonn Bell), they posted the No. 2 overall class in the nation based on 19 4-star recruits (also second in the nation), according to 247Sports.com.
That included nine top-100 recruits: cornerback Eli Apple (No. 45 overall), defensive end Joey Bosa (No. 53), receiver Jalin Marshall (No. 57), cornerback Cam Burrows (No. 60), running back Ezekiel Elliott (No. 70), tight end Marcus Baugh (No. 82), offensive tackle Evan Lisle (No. 89), outside linebacker Mike Mitchell (No. 95) and dual-threat quarterback J.T. Barrett (No. 100).
