Ohio State grabs commitment No. 3

Two weeks ago, he picked up an offer from Ohio State. Now, he is the Buckeyes’ third commitment in the class of 2014. Kyle Trout (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) has long thought about being a Buckeye. Some of that has to do with living 45 minutes from campus. Trout came to the Friday Night Lights camp in July and affirmed his love for Ohio State. When he picked up an offer on Jan. 26, that admiration grew, so much so that the 6-foot-5, 254-pound offensive tackle waited only 15 days before turning down Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Toledo and West Virginia to become a Buckeye.
