Spiders rally to beat George Washington, 73-64 (The Associated Press)

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Alonzo Nelson-Ododa made a go-ahead 3-pointer for his only basket of the night with 6:48 to play and Richmond rallied for a 73-64 victory against George Washington Wednesday night. Cedric Lindsay scored 19 points and Greg Robbins had 15 for the Spiders (17-11, 7-6 Atlantic 10 Conference), who trailed by as many as nine in the second half. Robbins’ three-point play pulled them even with 7:13 to play, and after Nelson-Ododa’s 3-pointer, Robbins hit one to give the Spiders a 61-55 lead. Kevin Larsen scored 16 and Kethan Savage 12 for the Colonials (12-14, 6-7). The game was key for both teams, which started the night in a four-way tie for eighth in the league standings with four games remaining. Only the A-10’s top 12 of 16 teams get invited to the conference tournament in mid-March, and George Washington still has games with No. 19 Saint Louis and La Salle, which are both at or near the top of the standings.
