Ohio State Destroys Iona in Round of 64 Clash

Ohio State came into its first NCAA tournament game against Iona with reason to worry. The Gaels were one of the best offensive teams in the nation in terms of points per game, and already had multiple wins against power conference squads under their belt.
Not so much.
The Buckeyes ran rampant over Iona Friday night to the tune of 95-70. Deshaun Thomas led the team in scoring with 24 points, while Sam Thompson added 20 and Aaron Craft racked up seven steals even though he sat out much of the second half. It was one of the most impressive performances for any team in the tournament thus far.
The Scarlet and Gray will advance to face the winner of Notre Dame and Iowa State on Sunday. As for the Gaels, they will have to find another powerhouse team in the future to trash talk before getting embarrassed and run out of the building.
