Michigan catching the eye of Davis

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Outside linebacker Jamal Davis II (Canton, Ohio/McKinley) has a favorite. Well, sort of. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Davis is a big fan of Michigan — he grew up emulating a certain Heisman Trophy winner — so the Wolverines are his favorite along with Ohio State. Michigan might be a bit out in front though, as Davis will head to the Wolverines’ June 17 camp after participating in Michigan State’s camp the day before. “Coach [Greg] Mattison felt if I went to their camp and they saw me do my thing in camp that would push them to get an offer,” he said.
