Ohio State Drops to No. 3 in Latest AP Poll

Polls usually don’t provide a lot of intrigue early on in the season, but as the AP released its poll this week that wasn’t the case at all.

That’s because the AP voters saw fit to punish Ohio State for a 40-20 win over MAC opponent Buffalo, dropping it from No. 2 in the preseason poll to No. 3 this week.

So, who jumped the Buckeyes? Not Clemson, the team that won the only battle between Top 10 foes in week one, but rather Oregon.

Yes, that Oregon team who destroyed mighty Nicholls State of the FCS, 66-3.

Of course the vote was pretty close, with Ohio State losing out on the spot it had entering the season by 25 points to the Ducks.
