Confident Braxton Miller says “I didn’t miss a beat” Posted by Kevin McGuire on October 2, 2013, 8:57 PM EDT Getty ImagesOhio State welcomed back starting quarterback Braxton Miller last week, just in time for a critical Big Ten Leaders Division match-up with Wisconsin. After being out of action since early in week two, there were questions about how he would be able to bounce back in a big spot. Taking on Ohio State’s biggest threat in the division in a primetime game set a big stage for Miller’s anticipated return. “I didn’t miss a beat,” Miller said, according to a report by Doug Lesmerises on Cleveland.com. “Every practice I was out there with the guys and going over the coverages. Even though I wasn’t practicing, I made sure I still got my mental reps.” The mental reps sure paid off. Miller completed 17 of 25 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns and added 83 rushing yards. With his performance, Miller silenced any doubts about whether he should be starting instead of Kenny Guiton, who had filled his starting role admirably for the Buckeyes. This weekend Miller once again leads the Buckeyes in a big spot in primetime. Ohio State visits Northwestern this Saturday, with the undefeated and ranked Wildcats sniffing around for an upset.
