Ohio State: Missing football player dead

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State officials say they are grieved to learn of the death of a football player missing since Wednesday.Police tell media outlets they believe a body found near the campus was that of 22-year-old Kosta Karageorge (KOH’-stah KAHR’-ah-jorj).The senior defensive tackle was last seen at his apartment in Columbus early Wednesday, when his roommates said he left to go on a walk.His mother told authorities he has had several concussions and a few spells of being extremely confused. According to a police report, she said Karageorge texted her the morning he disappeared and said, ”I am sorry if I am an embarrassment.”Karageorge is a former Buckeyes wrestler who joined the football team as a walk-on this season.
