Former Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel To Enter College Football Hall Of Fame

COLUMBUS, Ohio -Former Ohio State Buckeye coach Jim Tressel will soon be inducted into the College Football Hall Of Fame. The National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame say Tressel is one of two coaches and 15 players in the 2015 class. Tressel also will be one of five members of the 2015 class participating in the pregame coin toss at the national title game on Monday between Ohio State and Oregon. Tressel led Ohio State and Youngstown State to 229 victories and five national titles during his career. He was the coach when Ohio State topped Miami in the Fiesta Bowl to win their last national title in 2002. He also led the Buckeyes to a Rose Bowl win over the Oregon Ducks. Tressel resigned from Ohio State over an investigation involving players getting money and accepted improper benefits from the owner of a tattoo parlor. He is now the college president at Youngstown State University.
