The Big Ten proved that you can never judge a book by its cover. Picked on by critics who decried that the league was ‘weak,’ the conference had the last laugh as Ohio State captured the first national championship of the College Football Playoff era. Can the Buckeyes do it again? Here are five Big Ten games to watch this season: Wisconsin at Nebraska Saturday, Oct. 10 The Buzz: Wisconsin has been a major player in the Big Ten title race three of the past four seasons despite overcoming three head coaching changes. This offseason is no different as the Badgers will start anew with former assistant Paul Cryst in charge. Nebraska will also start the season with new man in charge – Mike Riley – who looks to get the Huskers over the hump and into the Big Ten title race.   Penn State at Ohio State Saturday, Oct. 17 The Buzz: Ohio State will face a new set of challenges this season including a rematch with James Franklin’s Penn State team in Columbus. Last season, the Nittany Lions pushed Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes to the edge with a 31-24 double-overtime loss at Happy Valley.
