Ohio State is still the team to beat: NOLA.com’s post-spring practice top 10

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer’s health was back in the news Wednesday when he had his appendix removed in an outpatient procedure. Meyer’s physical aliments have been well documented through the years. He listed that as the primary reason he left Florida after the 2010 season, took off the 2011 campaign then reemerged as the Buckeyes’ coach in 2012. This time, however, all seems to be well. He’s still expected to throw out the first pitch at a New York Yankees game Friday. The health of his team, which completed spring practice last month, seems to be outstanding and that’s bad news for the rest of the college football world. The Buckeyes return many of the key starters that led them to the first College Football Playoff national title last season, including three experienced battle-tested quarterbacks.
