When the Ohio State Buckeyes lost Braxton Miller before the start of last season, just about everyone wrote them off when it came to winning a national championship. When they lost Miller’s replacement before the College Football Playoffs, they were blasted for getting a spot in the tournament.
None of that stopped the Buckeyes from winning the national championship with third string quarterback Cardale Jones.. That’s something that has motivated Dan Gilbert to make comparisons between one winning Ohio program and one trying to win for the first time ever.
According to David Lombardi from ESPN, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert likened the Cavaliers losing Kyrie Irving to the Ohio State Buckeyes losing two quarterbacks on their way to winning the National Championship.
