MAC football and basketball will be televised on CBS

The CBS Sports Network signed a contract with the Mid-American Conference and will broadcast six football and seven basketball games during the 2015-16 season. MAC commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher said in a press release that the conference is excited to team up with the CBS Sports Network. “Today’s announcement is another important step in the continued growth of Mid-American Conference television coverage,” Steinbrecher said. “Having CBS Sports Network join us is part of our vision for the growth of live national coverage for our fan base.” The MAC is known for airing its football games during the week days, and the CBS Sports Network won’t break that tradition. With the new CBS deal, the MAC will play two games on Thursdays, one on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the other three on Saturdays.
