The Kentucky football team is likely to receive an official visit this weekend from transferring Ohio State offensive lineman and former high school All-American Marcelys Jones, and the Wildcats shape up as the early favorites to land him.
Ohio State confirmed Thursday that Jones, a 6-foot-4, 315-pound sophomore interior lineman, would be leaving the program, and a source familiar with the situation said Friday morning that Jones is expected to visit Lexington this weekend.
Jones, who went to Glenville High School in Cleveland, played in two games as a true freshman for the national champion Buckeyes, then participated in spring drills this year.
