Ted Ginn Sr. to bring star-studded Ohio State football cast to Sandusky July 10

OSU head coach Urban Meyer, quarterback Cardale Jones among the scheduled guests at speaking event Ted Ginn Sr. will be the first to admit he talks a lot. But the longtime Cleveland Glenville High School football coach makes sure you take him at face value, which is what he hopes people take away from the July 10 ‘Walking the talk’ fundraiser at Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Sandusky. “It means everything. What I say is what I do,” Ginn Sr. said. “You can’t just talk about it, be about it.” The speaking event, sponsored by The Chevy Network and Foster Chevrolet, will include Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer and quarterback Cardale Jones. Moderated by Russ Mitchell of NBC Cleveland affiliate WKYC, other special guests will include former Buckeye and current Carolina Panthers receiver Ted Ginn Jr. and former OSU quarterback Troy Smith, the 2006 Heisman trophy winner. Ginn Sr. talked about what he hopes people take away from the event, which runs from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. “There are some people in the world that are doing it the right way … this is what we do for life and for real,” he said. “What you say has to have meaning. It’s not a recreational thing for me, it’s just what I do and how I live on a daily basis. There is more than sports outside of life.
