(Photo : Getty Images/Sarah Glenn) Ohio State juniors Cardale Jones, Ezekiel Elliott and Joey Bosa are reportedly considering declaring for the 2016 NFL Draft after the upcoming college football season. The Ohio State Buckeyes are preparing to capture consecutive national championships in 2015, but several of the team’s biggest stars are already considering where they’ll be playing after the season ends. According to Bleacher Report’s NFL Insider Jason Cole, several of the standout sophomores from the Buckeyes’ 2014 national title team, quarterback Cardale Jones, defensive end Joey Bosa and running back Ezekiel Elliott, are researching their pro prospects to judge whether or not they should forgo their senior seasons and declare for the 2016 NFL Draft. Cole’s two sources noted that while Bosa’s decision to turn pro is “almost complete,” Jones and Elliott still need more time to decide if they will leave school early. Jones, in particular, needs more playing time as the Buckeyes’ starter before he will feel completely comfortable with his chances of being selected in the first round. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound signal-caller showed off a huge arm during the Buckeyes’ national title run, but has only started three total games in his collegiate career. While former starting QB Braxton Miller has reportedly shifted his focus to playing receiver this coming season, Jones still must beat out J.T. Barrett, who started the first twelve games of 2014 before suffering a season-ending ankle injury, for the starting spot. Like Jones, Elliott’s NFL Draft stock shot through the roof after three strong performances in the Big Ten Championship Game (220 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns) and College Football Playoff games (476 combined rushing yards, 6 total touchdowns), but may need a strong junior season to cement his stock as a first-round pick. Bosa, on the other hand, is already projected to be one of the top overall selections in the 2016 class after picking up 55 tackles (including 34.5 tackles-for-loss), 21 sacks and 4 forced fumbles in 2014. Jones, Elliott and Bosa will kick off the 2015 college football season on Sept. 7 at Virginia Tech. …
