LSU football reclaims top recruiting class of 2016

The LSU football team regained a slight edge over Ohio State atop the 2016 national recruiting rankings following the commitment of place kicker Connor Culp. Just over a week ago, the Ohio State Buckeyes overtook the LSU football team for the top spot in the 2016 247Sports composite team rankings. On Tuesday, the Tigers reclaimed the No. 1 ranking with the commitment of the No. 5 place kicker in the country, Connor Culp. For reference, the next closest team is Alabama, who is currently 14.33 points behind the Buckeyes. Culp, a three-star prospect from Phoenix, Ariz., will join a loaded special teams unit. The Tigers currently have four place kickers on the roster; juniors Colby Delahoussaye and Trent Domingue, sophomore Cameron Gamble and freshman Kyle Pfau.
