Bosa rated nation’s No. 1 player by Pro Football Focus

Updated Aug 21, 2015 at 10:33a ET Everyone has their opinions when it comes to college football, but what about cold, hard facts and unbiased data? That’s what Pro Football Focus used to determine Joey Bosa is the best player in college football.  PFF released its top 50 players in college football Friday morning, and Bosa is joined by fellow Ohio State Buckeyes Ezekiel Elliott and Joshua Perry.  Elliott is No. 6 overall and the No. 2-rated running back, trailing Georgia’s Nick Chubb. The write-ups about the two seem to indicate Chubb got the nod because he has displayed more ability as a receiver.  Perry is 11th overall and the No. 3 linebacker, trailing Arizona’s Scooby Wright and Myles Jack of UCLA.  Perry’s best cited grade comes in pass coverage while he also received high marks in stopping the run and rushing the passer.
