The former Ohio State running back has spent a chunk of the summer speaking to college football teams, including Florida State on Thursday. Clarett, who only played one season at Ohio State, spoke to the Seminoles about the temptations of being a big time football player. ESPN reports: “A lot of y’all need to grow up,” Clarett told the players. “That’s the bottom line. What happened to Maurice Clarett in prison was, I needed to grow the f— up. You had the world in your hands, the NFL in your hands, and you f—ed it up because you want to be a gangsta.” Florida State is already dealing with an ugly offseason. Two players were arrested, one of which has already been kicked off the team, for incidents involving the assault of a woman at or near a bar. Clarett spent nearly four years in prison after falling out of the NFL. He was the key offensive weapon in the 2002 Ohio State Championship team. …
