Braxton Miller still adjusting to life as Ohio State wide receiver

Updated Aug 22, 2015 at 1:32p ET With three receivers suspended for the season opener at Virginia Tech, Braxton Miller’s transition from quarterback to wide receiver gained some sense of urgency as Ohio State started preseason camp.  After two weeks, where does the two-time Big Ten MVP stand?  “Braxton’s life has not been spent running, running, running,” coach Urban Meyer told reporters in Columbus on Saturday. “Wide receivers basically put on track shoes and go for two hours. Next week is a big week for Braxton. He had a tight hamstring and we held him out today, but he should be ready to go on Monday.”  Asked specifically if Miller could start against the Hokies, Meyer replied, “Sure. My plan is to try to get him ready to do that.”  The senior is dealing with both getting his legs conditioned for a much different type of game and also learning how to read coverages from a new spot on the field.  Meyer wouldn’t identify Miller as the No. 1 “H” or hybrid receiver/running back yet, but the coach admitted, “I want him to be.”  The Buckeyes begin the season Sept. 7 in Blacksburg.  (H/T BuckeyeSports.com)
