Hokies try to prep for Buckeyes’ Elliott

BLACKSBURG, VA — Not all the football was played Saturday. One of the most highly anticipated games of the opening week won’t happen until Monday. That’s defending national champion Ohio State traveling to the last team to beat them, Virginia Tech. The Hokies handled an Ohio State offense last September that had yet to find itself. Now, the Buckeyes are expected to have all cylinders clicking, especially at running back with Ezekiel Elliott rushing for more than 600 yards in the final three games. You can bet the Buckeyes back has the attention of the Hokies. “During that championship run he was big, and you expect him to carry that right over,” said Virginia Tech Head Coach Frank Beamer. “This game this year and that game last year are different in a lot of ways. That’s one of them. Where they were as far as far as their personnel and where we were as far as our personnel, but we gotta tackle though boy.
