It’s hard to remember that fact because when it came time to play the second half, Ohio State left no doubt in anyone’s mind who the superior team was in Lane Stadium and in the entire country. It was a dominant second half from the Buckeyes to cap off a 42-24 opening victory. It’s easy to get swept up in early season hyperbole and euphoria. This is Week 1. The journey is long. There are no easy games. Those things are all true, and there were moments when Ohio State was flawed on Monday. But then you consider Ohio State was without star defensive end Joey Bosh, H-backs Jalin Marshall and Dontre Wilson, and wide receiver Corey Smith due to suspension. All four players will make significant contributions upon their return. …
