The Ohio State Buckeyes stayed at No. 1 in the first AP Poll released on Tuesday. The Buckeyes rallied from a 17-14 deficit to beat the Virginia Tech Hokies, 42-24, on Monday night. Surprisingly, the SEC garnered 10 of the 25 spots in the Top 25 that was released. In the preseason, eight teams were in the Top 25 but the win of Texas A&M and Mississippi State increased the numbers of the SEC teams to 10. Alabama jump up a spot to No. 2.
