Boodini: Can anyone stop Ohio State? Probably not

It was true in January in the aftermath of the Buckeyes’ stunning dominance in the inaugural college football playoff. And much to the chagrin of Michigan State and Michigan fans, it’s especially true now that Ohio State likely faced its toughest challenge for the next 10 weeks at Virginia Tech on Monday. The Buckeyes got their one scare. They started strong, trailed at halftime, then mercilessly bludgeoned the Hokies in the second half. Uncle Urban got everything he wanted out of the Buckeyes’ 42-24 victory. He got a blowout win as well as a teachable moment on the perils of complacency. Ohio State remains the only “SEC-like” program in the Midwest in regards to talent, tenacity and temerity. …
