Ohio State star trolls Taylor Swift for date, gets lectured by mascot

It seems Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott took a page out of teammate Cardale Jones’ playbook of love. After hearing that Taylor Swift would be performing in Columbus on Thursday, the running back took to Twitter in hopes of scoring a date with his dream girl. “@taylorswift13 I see your in town night want to grab something after their concert,” Elliott tweeted. While the 25-year-old pop star has yet to take up the offer, there’s a certain member of the Buckeyes squad who isn’t happy about the possible courtship. After Elliott’s tweet went viral, the team’s mascot posted a message of his own to remind the third-year rusher that his attention should be on two things: school and football. Though Elliott may have a second shot with Swift, considering she has a second show on Friday night, here’s hoping that he fares better than Jones. Ohio State’s signal caller not only struck out with Ronda Rousey on Twitter during July’s ESPY Awards, but with backup conquest Kendall Jenner too. Share this:
