For a team with the Buckeyes’ array of offensive weapons facing a MAC defense at home, that’s just about unthinkable. But Urban Meyer wasn’t ready to offer any firm explanations, or ready to say where the Buckeyes go from here at quarterback after Cardale Jones’ two interceptions led to a mid-game benching in favor of J.T. Barrett. “Good question,” Meyer said when asked in his postgame press conference if he knew who would be his starting quarterback next week. “I don’t know that right now. Haven’t had time to think about it.” In the same press conference, Meyer was told that some Buckeyes fans want the lion’s share of snaps under center to go to one quarterback, with a clearcut pecking order established between Barrett and Jones.
