Urban Meyer names Ohio State starting quarterback

Jones had started all three games this season, though Meyer had declined to publicly name him the starter over sophomore J.T. Barrett. Jones went just 4-for-9 for 25 yards with two interceptions in a 20-13 win over Northern Illinois last week, yielding to Barrett in the second half. Jones, a junior, is 26-for-46 for 334 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions this season. He has also rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown. Barrett, who was Ohio State’s starter in 2014 until a season-ending broken leg, is 20-for-35 for 193 yards and two touchdowns with an interception this season.
