Maryland Terrapins Put Up Solid Fight, But Lose To Ohio State Buckeyes 49-28

The Maryland Terrapins were a topic of discussion around the country this week the job status of head coach Randy Edsall. The Terrapins channeled their focus on the football field and put up a pretty good fight against the Ohio State Buckeyes for 45 minutes until the Buckeyes scored 28 unanswered points the Terrapins would fall to 2-4 on the season losing 49-28.Terrapins quarterback Perry Hills had a record day as he now owns the school record for most rushing yards in a game by a quarterback with 170 yards including a 75 yard near the end of the first half. The Terrapins overall rushed for 253 yards. Hills was basically the entire offense for the Terps this afternoon. When his wide receivers dropped passes in critical situations in the first half, he didn’t let that bother him. Hills improvised and made plays for himself. When it was time to go for a first down, he lowered his shoulders and took whatever hit the Buckeyes defense gave him. For much of the game, the Terrapins were hanging around with Buckeyes which has been a familiar theme for Ohio State all season long. It doesn’t matter if the team the Buckeyes are playing is good or bad. They continue to play to their opponents level and sooner or later it will catch up to them.
