Ohio State passes Oklahoma for most ever weeks as AP No. 1

Though its hold on the position grows more tenuous by the week, Ohio State is indeed the No. 1 team in the land again according to the Associated Press. And since the Buckeyes held on to that spot for one more week, they have now earned that distinction more than any other program in college football history. This week marks Ohio State’s 102nd week atop the Associated Press poll, surpassing Oklahoma for first all-time. Ohio State also owns the top spot for most total weeks in college football’s poll of record (845), which dates back to 1936.
