A Penn State upset of Ohio State? Oddsmakers doubt it, favor Buckeyes by 17.5

Unbeaten Ohio State has looked wobbly at times in games against Northern Illinois, Indiana and even Maryland.

But oddsmakers don’t see James Franklin’s Penn State team staying with the Buckeyes Saturday night in the Horseshoe.

Ohio State (6-0, 2-0) has opened as a 17.5-point favorite against the Nittany Lions (5-1, 2-0).

PSU enters the Big Ten game fresh off a 29-7 home win over Indiana in which quarterback Christian Hackenberg threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for two scores.

Ohio State pulled away from Maryland in the second half at home, winning 49-28.

Urban Meyer’s team had its hands full against IU on the road a couple of weeks ago, edging the Hoosiers 34-27.

Earlier in the season, Ohio State defeated Northern Illinois 20-13.
