Penn State faces tough challenge in Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott

Watching Ezekiel Elliott on television or on film can be a little frightening for an opposing coach and his staff trying to figure out ways to stop Ohio State’s excellent running back. The 6-foot, 225-pound junior from St. Louis can power through the defensive front or outrun the last guys in the secondary. He is capable of making a big play every time he touches the football. He’s durable enough to make the clutch runs for first downs in the fourth quarter. This week, the Heisman Trophy candidate is Penn State’s problem. The Nittany Lions will need to stop Elliott, or at least slow him down, if they want to have any hope of winning Saturday night’s Big Ten game at Ohio Stadium. James Franklin has noticed.
