Penn State-Ohio State prediction: Lions drop to 5-2 on the year with loss against the Buckeyes

Four non-conference affairs and two Big Ten tilts have indicated Penn State can take care of business in ugly and explosive styles. But we still haven’t seen the Lions face an opponent remotely close to the caliber of the one it will see Saturday. It’s hard to figure out, then, what the Lions will look like in Columbus under the lights against Ohio State. But on the other hand, the Buckeyes haven’t looked overly impressive, either.  “This is an opportunity that every college athlete around the country would kind of thrive in and like to be a part of, a chance to get better every week, improve every week, and this week going against one of the best teams in the country,”  said. “This is an opportunity for us to go into Columbus and play as hard as we can, as smart as we can, and live with the results. “This is definitely one of the reasons I decided to come to Penn State, to play in big time games.” Players on the Spot: Penn State’s offensive line has improved since a disastrous 10-sacks-allowed performance against Temple, but the problem is the Ohio State front seven it will face is as good as if not better than the Owls’ front. Is Herb Hand’s unit up for the challenge? On the other sideline, the Buckeyes more or less know what they will get from talented back Ezekiel Elliot, but it’s quarterback play must be better. Don’t be surprised if: This contest is close until it suddenly isn’t.
